Abstract This study was conducted on seventeen patients (eleven males and six females), four of them oomplaining of chronic renal failure. According to the volume and concenteration of bupivacaine or bupivacain.e-adronaline injected in the axillary sheath, patients were classified into 5 groups Group I:including four patients who recieved 20ml of bupivacaine 0.5% solution. Group II : consisting of four patients who recieved 20 ml of bupivacaine 0.5% with adrenaline 1 : 200,000. Group Ill,-’ including three patients who were injected with 30 ml of buPivacaine 0.5% solution. Group IV : consisting of three patients who recieved 30 ml of bupivacaine 0.5% with adrenaline I : 200,000 solution. Group V :including three patients who were injected with 40 ml of bupivacaine 0.25% with adrenaline 1 : 400,000. Blood pressure and pulse rate were monitored before and after injecting the anaesthetic for one hour. |
