Abstract

Hypospadias is one of the commonest congenital anomalies of the genito-urinary system. Surgical correction of hypospadias remains one of the most challenging problems faced by urologists, and plastic surgeons today .New additions in technique serve as a constant reminder that the ultimate goal, to develop a procedure producing maximal correction with minimal complication, is still the aim .: In this comparative study of surgical techniques for distal hypospadias repair, 3 types of hypospadias repairs were reviewed concerning the application, complications, advantages, and disadvantages. . The two-flaps technique for the distal meatus has been a satisfactory operation both functionally and cosmetically. The complication rate is low. The financial economy is accepted. We therefore believe it is warranted in each case, particularly to produce the esthetic appearance of a normal penis. ,. The MA GPI procedure has been an accepted operation both functionally and cosmetically for” the coronal, and glandular types of anterior hypospadias. It is simple and safe operation. The Mathieu repair has been an accepted operation. Although the complication rate was high in this series, Mathieu repair is still option in the treatment of distal penile hypospadias
