Abstract

Eggplant, pepper, potato, and tomato are the major economic solanaceae crops grown in the Arab Rebublic of Egypt.Several plant parasitic nematodes especially rootknot nematodes,Meloidogyne spp.were recorded as pathogens of this plants. The obtained results could be summarized as follow: 1-11 nematode genera were detected from the major vegetable crops at various Localities Meloidogyne seemed to be the major pest as its occurred, aga appeared to yield the highest number of nematode genera. 2Pepper,tomato,eggplant crops are the best hosts to Meloidogyne spp. 3Sandy loam soil it is the best soil to nematode reproduction on pepper or eggplant. 4Horse manure and sesame oil seed cake alone found to be more effective in improving Plant growth parameters and highest reduction in nematode root gall, females Eggmasses 5Horse manure followed by sesame oil cake integrated with oxamyl regarding the Present increase of plant growth and showed the best treatment in controlling M.incognita development. 6Bacillus thuringiensis alone or integrated with oxamyl was ranked the first Increasing plant growth but showed the lowest values in nematode reduction.
