Abstract The present work is assigned to study the corrosion behaviour of a sbrass in hydrochloric acid solution and the inhibiting effect of some 4phenylthiazole derivatives. The obtained results showed that the inhibition efficiency of these compounds increased by increasing their concentration and decreased by raising the temperature, so that the adsorption of these compounds is physical adsorption and follow Temkin?s isotherm. The inhibition efficiencies also increased by addition of potassium iodide. Some thermodynamic parameters are computed and discussed. The influence of chemical structure of these thiazole derivatives on their inhibition efficiencies was discussed. |
