Abstract

Biomechanics search in the behavior of Biofluid and does not involve any new development of general principles of fluid mechanics but it does involve so the new applications of the methods of fluid mechanics. from this applications be the peristaltic motion, we found that the peristaltic waves generated a long the flexible walls of the tube provides an efficient means of transport of fluid in living organisms and in industrial pumping or mixing fluids. In general, from the biological systems have peristaltic motions: oesophagus, the gastro-intestinal tracts, bile ducts, the ureter, the fallopian tubes and the small blood vessels. The study of the mechanisms of peristalsis, in both mechanical and physiological situations has only recently the object of scientific research, which are interested by many investigators. In this thesis, we innovated and solved new problems of peristaltic motion for Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids and fluid in presence of external effects like effect of transverse magnetic field on the flow region or presence of an endoscope inside a tube have peristaltic motion. A brief layout of the thesis is as follows: Chapter 1. It contains the survey of the existing literature and explains some fundamental concepts of peristaltic motion, basic equations and emphasizing the aspects relevant to this thesis. Also, this chapter gives the basic definitions and relations on whom the later results in the thesis are used. Chapter 2. It gives study of effects of magnetic field and variable viscosity on peristaltic motion of Newtonian fluid through uniform tubes. For example, motion of chym in the man small intestine. The results showed that increasing in the magnetic field and viscosity increase the pressure rise and friction force The following paper is extracted from this chapter Abd El Hakeem Abd El Naby, A.E.M. Chapter 3 It gives study of effects of magnetic field and variable viscosity on peristaltic motion of non-Newtonian fluid through uniform tubes. This chapter generalizes chapter two. Also, the results showed that increasing in the magnetic field and the non-Newtonian index increase the pressure rise and friction force.
