Abstract
In this thesis the problem of diffuse reflection and transimission of particles in a finite, homogeneous, absorping and scattering medium has been solved. This has been done by reducing the problem of the finite medium to the corresponding problem of a semi-infinite medium because the latter case is much more easier to deal with. The idea is based on the imbedding of the finite medium into the semi-infinite one.
