Abstract

The studied area is a part of the northern eastern Desert of Egypt, it covers about 12400 km . It bounded by latitudes 27° 00’ and 28° 00’ N and longitudes 32° 30’ and 33° 36’ E. It is formed mainly of various types of basement rocks. These rocks are bounded from the west by outcrops of Nubian Sandstone which extended to the eastern side of Wadi Qena, and from the east by Miocenee rocks, and Quaternary sediments which exposed along and parallel to the Red Sea coast. Wadi Qena is running parallel to the Nile vally.
