Abstract Four selected hyDROPhytic plants were investigated representing different habit and habitats namely ; Echinochloa stagninum, Eichhornia crassipes, ceratophyllum demersum and potamogeton crispus. Full description of the species and their geographical distribution in the world were recorded. The selected stands (Damietta branch of the River Nile, El-Manyal and Damira drains) were described. The climatic data governing the growth and reproduction of the different species were recorded namely ; tempreature, rain - fall, wind velocity, relative humidity and evaporation. |
