Abstract The present work aims to investigate the role of chemical interferences on the emission of SrOH band with object of controlling such interferences, and application of the method to the analysis of fresh waters. Interferences which acually influence the proportion of analyte anecies in the flame arise largely from chemical effects which originate either in the flame itsself or in the sample solution. such interferences are mainly caused by the formation of stable compounds other than the analyte species or by ionization. |
