Abstract The effect of hydrazine derivatives on the Corrosion rate of Aluminum in 2N hydrochloric Acid solution was studied by measurement of the hydrogen envolved as a function of the time and also by thermometric and weight loss measurements. The three methods gave the same conclution in determining the efficiency of the inhibitors which increases in the following order: cyanoacety1 hydrazine > cinnamy1hydrazine > trichloroacety1 hydrazine > diformy1 hydrazine > salicy1y1 hydrazine > isbutyry1 hydrazine. It is evident that the hydrogen evolution measurements can be used as a rapid and simple technique for comparing the Inhibition efficiency of the hydrazine derivatives . |
