Abstract
4-[p-(-carboxyamido acetic)] phenylhydrazono -2- pyrazoline-5-ones (II1-3) were prepared by the coupling reaction between the diazonium salt of p-aminohippuric acid with the appropriate 2-pyrazolin-5-one (I1-3). Treatment of (II1-3) with different aromatic aldehydes in acetic anhydride containing freshly fused sodium acetate afforded the corresponding oxazolopyrazolone derivatives (III1-21).
