Abstract During arthoropod embryogenesis, amino acids and proteins are actively metabolized. The yolk proteins are hydrolyzed to amino acids and peptides. The embryonic proteins are then aynthesized from these amino acids and peptide pools. In the present work changes in the individual free amino acids and in the hemoprotein fractions during Dermacentor andersoni embryonic development were studied. Using DEAE cellulose ion exchange, six protein fractions were obtained from the egg yolk, three of which were hemoproteins (hemixodovins A, B, and c). |
