Abstract

The study showed that the use of ideal doses of gamma irradiation on Orthospera Platensis, Corella Volgars and Synidesmus Oblex (700, 300 and 200 Gray respectively) led to a marked improvement in growth rates and biomass output.
Gamma irradiation has increased the content of cheap, readily available and low-cost proteins in these algae, making them a valuable food source.
Strong antioxidants, such as polyphenols, vitamins and minerals, have enhanced the antioxidant properties of these algae.
Treated algae have shown higher antioxidant activity than their untreated counterparts, with the highest level of Synesthmus oblix.
The content of carotenoid and bonifenol (flavonoids and phenols) increased with the perfect dose treatment of gamma rays.
The study recommends the use of these antioxidant polyphenols as natural dietary supplements instead of synthetic antioxidants.
Results indicate that these algae can be used as antioxidants in pharmaceutical industries, food supplements, food and cosmetics.
The study shows that Orthospera Platensis, Corella Volgars and Synesthesia Oplex can be used for optimal doses of gamma irradiation in biodiesel production due to their positive properties.
This study offers promising results on the use of gamma irradiation to improve the properties of Orthospera Platensis, Corella Volgars and Synesthemus Oplex. These algae can play an important role in the fields of nutrition, health and energy.
