Abstract

The present study was conducted at the private farm in El-Khatateba – Sadat City- Menofyia Governorate location during 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 to evaluate the effect of foliar spraying with some organic fertilizers (green organic magic, green power and compost tea on growth, seed yield and seed quality of three dry beans cultivars (Giza 6, Giza 10 and Nebraska), as well as the impact of those fertilizers on the severity of the three cultivars of rust disease. The three fertilization treatments green organic magic, green power and compost tea were sprayed individually at the rate of 3 ml/L.W three times during bean growth started at the 1st of Nov. and repeated twice every 15 days after the first one in both seasons of the study.
Data were recorded at the following measurements:
1. Vegetative growth traits (Main stem length (cm), Number of branches/plant, Number of leaves/plant and Plant fresh weight (g)).
2. Yield and yield components traits ( Number of pods/plant, Number of seeds/pod, Number of seeds/plan, 100-seeds/weight (g) and Seed yield/faddan (kg))
3. Green pods chemical properties (Leaf content of nitrogen (g/100g FW), Leaf content of phosphor (g/100g FW) and Leaf content of potassium (g/100g FW)).
4. Seed chemical properties (Seed content of moisture (g/100g DW), Seed content of total protein (g/100g DW), Seed content of total carbohydrates (g/100g DW), Seed content of soluble sugar (g/100g DW) and Seed content of total phenolic (mg/100g DW)).
5. Rust severity.
The obtained results could be summarized as follows:
5.1. Effect of cultivars, fertilization treatments and their interaction on bean growth.
The obtained results confirmed that all bean growth traits i.e. main stem length, number of branches/plant, leaves number/plant and plant fresh weight
58
significantly affected by cultivars, fertilization treatments and their interactions in both seasons.
- Effect of cultivars:
 Data revealed that Giza 6 cv. had the highest main stem length, number of branches/plant in both seasons, in addition to plant fresh weight in the second season.
 Nebraska cv expressed the highest number leaves/plant in the first and second season, as well as the plant fresh weight in the first season
- Effect of fertilization treatments:
 The results confirmed that all used fertilization treatments resulted in significant improve in all growth traits compared with control.
 Bean plants that treated with green power gave the highest; main stem length, number of branches/plant, number of leaves/plant and plant fresh weight in both seasons, followed by green organic magic and compost tea in all growth traits.
- Effect of the interaction:
 The obtained results showed that treated bean plants with green power resulted in a large increase in all growth traits of the three bean cultivars compared with the others fertilization treatments as well as control.
 Giza 6 cv that treated with green power had the highest; main stem length, number of branches/plant, number of leaves/plant and plant fresh weight in both seasons, followed by Nebraska cv that sprayed with green organic magic and compost tea in all growth traits.
5.2.Effect of cultivars, fertilization treatments and their interaction on bean yield.
 Results showed that all yield traits i.e. number of pods/plant, number of seeds/pods, number of seeds/plant, 100-Seed weight and seed yield/fad of bean plants significantly affected by cultivars, fertilization treatments and their interactions in both seasons.

- Effect of cultivars:
 The data cleared that Giza 6 cv showed the highest; number of pods/plant, number of seeds/pods, number of seeds/plant and seed yield/fad in both seasons.
 Nebraska cv gave the highest 100-ssed weight in the first and second seasons.
- Effect of fertilization treatments:
 The obtained data revealed that all used fertilization treatments resulted in significant improve in all yield traits compared to control.
 Bean plants that treated with green power gave the highest; number of pods/plant, number of seeds/plant, 100-seed weight and seed yield/fad in both seasons.
 In the same way the highest seed number/pod were showed by bean plants that treated with green organic magic in the first and second seasons.
- Effect of the interaction:
 In general the data indicated that sprayed bean plants with green power resulted in significant improve in all yield traits of the three bean cultivars compared with the others fertilization treatments as well as control.
 Giza 6 cv that sprayed with green power had the highest; number of pods/plant and seed yield/fad
 In the same line Nebraska cv that sprayed with green power showed the highest 100-seed weight in the first and second seasons.
5.3. Effect of cultivars, fertilization treatments and their interaction on bean yield quality.
5.3.1. Green pods contents of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
 Data indicated that green pods contents of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium significantly affected by cultivars, fertilization treatments and their interactions in both seasons.
- Effect of cultivars:
61
 The data cleared that Nebraska cv expressed the highest green pods contents of nitrogen and potassium in both seasons in addition to the same cultivar ranked the second one in green pods contents of phosphorus in the both seasons.
 Giza 6 cv. showed the highest green pods contents of phosphorus in the first and second season.
- Effect of fertilization treatments:
 The results cleared that all used fertilization treatments resulted in significant improve green pods contents of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compared with control.
 Bean plants that treated with green power gave the highest green pods contents of; nitrogen phosphorus and potassium in both seasons followed by green organic magic and compost tea in the three previous traits.
- Effect of the interaction:
 The obtained results revealed that the three bean cultivars differ in their response to the different fertilization treatments in green pods contents of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
 In all cases the results confirmed that treated bean plants with green power resulted in a large improve in leaves contents of N, P and K of the three bean cultivars compared with the others fertilization treatments as well as control.
 Nebraska cv that treated with Green power had the highest green pods contents of; nitrogen and potassium in both seasons. While, Giza 6 cv showed the highest green pods of phosphorus in both seasons.
5.3.2. Seed chemical properties.
 Data indicated that seed contents of total protein, total carbohydrates, soluble sugar and total phenolic as well as seed moisture content
61
significantly affected by cultivars, fertilization treatments and their interactions in both seasons.
- Effect of cultivars:
 The obtained data confirmed that Nebraska cv had the highest seed contents of; moisture, total protein, total carbohydrates, total soluble sugar and total phenolic in both seasons followed by Giza 6 cv in all seed quality.
- Effect of fertilization treatments:
 The results cleared that all used fertilization treatments resulted in significant improve seed contents of; moisture, total protein, total carbohydrates, total soluble sugar and total phenolic in both seasons compared with control.
 Bean plants that treated with green power gave the highest seed contents of; moisture, total protein, total carbohydrates, total soluble sugar and total phenolic in both seasons followed by green organic magic then compost tea in the three previous traits.
- Effect of the interaction:
 The obtained results revealed that the three bean cultivars differ in their response to the different fertilization treatments in seed contents of; moisture, total protein, total carbohydrates, total soluble sugar and total phenolic in both seasons.
 In all cases the results confirmed that treated bean plants with green power resulted in a large improve in seed contents of; moisture, total protein, total carbohydrates, total soluble sugar and total phenolic of the three bean cultivars compared with the others fertilization treatments as well as control.
 Nebraska cv that treated with green power had the highest seed contents of; moisture,
