Abstract

Intrinsic ageing is a form of chronological ageing. It creates morphological, structural, and functional deterioration of the skin, which impacts not only cosmetic health but also psychological and physical health. Moreover, it leads to skin thinning, loss of elasticity, and appearance of fine wrinkles over time. Dermal filler usage has been increased over the past few years. They can make rejuvenation and improvement of the ageing skin with a lower cost and no recovery time. The injectable cross-linked hyaluronic acid is the most common type used as a temporary dermal filler for its safety and efficacy in reducing wrinkles and restoring volume loss. Nanofat is an ultrapurified adipose tissue-derived product, obtained by mechanical emulsification and filtration of the lipo-aspirates. Nanofat has been used for its anti-ageing effect and as long-lasting soft tissue filler because it is easily accessible and can improve skin quality. Stem cells present in the stromal vascular fraction of nanofat help in repairing the tissues of the skin.
