Abstract To implement this purpose, the following instructions were made, effect of using magnetized irrigation water (MIW) under center pivot irrigation system on potato through: - management irrigation system to reduce quantity of used irrigation water. The study was carried out in Farms of Farm Frites, Egypt in Wady El- Natroon– Elbehira governorate, during two consecutive seasons, namely the winter season 2018 and the summer season 2019. In order to achieve the main objective of this study under four experimental factors were studied:- 1st factor irrigation water; treated and non-treated by magnetized irrigation water,2nd factor crop evapotranspiration (110, 100, 90, and 80%),3rd factor soil salinity; low and high soil salinity (1.46 and 4.56 Ds/m) and 4th factor potato tubers Santana cultivar with seed diameters (28-35,35-45, 45-50 and 50up mm).Three measurements; water and soil chemicals analysis, foliage of plants (leaf area index, number of stems per square meters) and tubers (yield of tubers (Mg/ha), tuber diameters and benefit cost of potato tubers). Results the same in two seasons compared between MIW and N-MIW under center pivot irrigation system on potato resulted to: Decrease in soil salinity before and after harvest of potatoes about 17.5 and 13.3% in low and high soil salinity, decrease soil PH about 5.7 and 3.4% in low and high soil salinity compared between MIW and N-MIW .Increase in leaf area index of plants during growing of plants 13.5 and 11.5 % in low and high soil salinity compared between MIW and N-MIW. Increase production in yield and tubers diameters of potatoes about 11.5 and 22.5% in low and high soil salinity and decrees 10% from used of irrigation water. Used magnetized irrigation water on potatoes to improve quality of potatoes and to increase from dry matter and seed diameters of potatoes about 20-22% in low and high soil salinity. |
