المستخلص The current research aims to investigate the effectiveness of the proposed program in social studies based on the realistic teaching model in developing mental motivation and the culture of democracy among middle school students. The research sample was determined in a group of first year middle school students at the Martyr Muhammad Ismail Khalaf School Qena Educational Administraion Governorate, numbering forty students. The research tools included preparing a list of the dimensions of the mental motivation necessary for first-year middle school students, and preparing a list of the dimensions of the culture of democracy necessary for them. In light of these two lists, a proposed vision was built for a number of study units for the first of middle school. And teacher’s guide was also prepared to teach the program, and a measure of mental motivation. And a measure of the culture of democracy. The results revealed the effectiveness of the proposed program in developing mental motivation and the culture of democracy, as statistically significant differences were found between the average scores of the students in the research sample in the measure of mental motivation and the measure of the culture of democracy in the two applications (pre- and post) in favor of the post application Keywords: Realistic teaching model - social studies - mental motivation - culture of democracy - middle school. |
