Abstract

The anterior cruciate ligament tear is a growing concern regarding the economic and social situation. There is a lot of reasons of anterior cruciate ligament tear like doing exercise and twisting of knee in daily practice. The success of ACL reconstruction surgery depends mainly on similarities between the graft morphology, tension, position, and orientation compared to the native ACL. Surgical reconstruction using a commonly originated graft from the patient’s muscle (autograft) has become a widely performed procedure in management of an ACL injury to maintain the functionality and stability of the knee. This procedure is minimally invasive as it is assisted using arthroscopy. Autografts can be derived from several compatible muscles to maintain the strength and resistance of the original ACL structure. However, there is no consensus regarding the most appropriate graft choice to replace the injured ACL. There is a lot of graft selection, include hamstring tendon, bone-patellar tendon-bone (BPTB), synthetic graft.
