Abstract
Heritage buildings exist all over the world. Some of them may be subject to lack of attention or neglect in preserving them through processes and practices that do not consider their environmental sustainability, which does not achieve the comprehensive concept of preserving heritage buildings in an environmentally sustainable manner or exposes them to the loss of their values. These buildings face many challenges, such as climate change, natural disasters, pollution of various kinds, and others. Therefore, the research focuses on how to meet challenges through preservation practices and processes that achieve many standards and indicators that ensure environmental sustainability.
