Abstract

A material that is both strong and light is essential for industry. There are many methods for enhancing mechanical properties and microstructure. The mechanical properties of metals can be enhanced using equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) and severe plastic deformation (SPD), both of which are effective techniques. Processes of SPD are defined as a group of metal working techniques in which a very large plastic strain is imposed on a bulk material to make an ultra-fine-grained (UFG) metal. One of the most widely used and successful grain refining methods for SPD is ECAP. In this process, the die is essential. Friction, the corner angle, the total number of passes, the channel angle, Routes, back pressure, and other variables can all have an impact on the process’s result. To provide a more accurate result for evaluating different aluminum (AL) alloys. The variables of the ECAP method were examined and applied to room-temperature (RT) aluminum alloys (AA) with rectangular cross sections, encompassing samples of various industrially significant AA-7075, AA-6061, and AA-1050.
