Abstract

Hypopigmented dermatoses are commonly encountered by dermatologists. Diagnosis of cutaneous hypopigmentation can sometimes be challenging. Dermoscopy is a simple tool widely used in dermatological practice. It improves the diagnostic accuracy of melanoma and several other inflammatory dermatoses with subsequent reduction in diagnostic delays/pitfalls. Dermoscopy may play a role in identifying and distinguishing various hypo/de-pigmented dermatoses.
