Abstract

Summary There has been a sea change in surgical practise, with the introduction of operational video-laparoscopy replacing open surgery as the standard method. With its numerous advantages over open surgery, including faster wound healing, shorter hospital stays, less postoperative pain, and better cosmetic results, laparoscopic surgery has become a well-established choice for many gynaecological disorders.
