Abstract
In thalassemic children, all IQ subsets were positively correlated with school performance; the VCI, WMI, PSI, and FSIQ were positively correlated with education, while there was no correlation with parents’ education or socioeconomic status, this was in agreement with a former study done by Dessoki et al., where cognitive function correlated positively with academic performance (Dessoki et al., 2018).
