Abstract

We conducted a survey study on 188 patients with various rheumatic diseases to assess their knowledge, attitude, practice, and compliance in the late pandemic and assess whether there is a change in their attitudes and practices. We found that their knowledge was good to fair, as we found some deficiencies in some of their knowledge, such as symptoms, methods of transmission, and isolation of contact persons. Also, we found that their attitudes were positive, their worries and fears decreased significantly, and the majority thought that they had no high chance of infection, either due to their rheumatic disease or their medications. This attitude affected their practices; their practices are wrong and unhealthy, and they stopped using any protective measures such as wearing masks and avoiding crowded places. Regarding their compliance, most of them were compliant with their treatment; the minority who stopped them did this because of availability issues.
