Abstract Spinal surgeries are various groups of procedures which considered as the core of the neurology and orthopedic surgical practice. This includes a comprehensive number of procedures that are done on an elective or emergency basis. It is indicated to treat a wide spectrum of conditions affecting the vertebrae, intervertebral discs, facet joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles, spinal cord, and nerve roots of the spine causing an enormous and growing health negative impact worldwide. Therefore, the need for teaching nursing interventions for patients undergoing spinal surgeries is a challenging task for the neurosurgical nurse, leading to improve outcomes and quality of life as well as reduced associated healthcare costs. The recent findings aimed to investigate the efficacy of nursing interventions of multimodal teaching module of self- care on quality of life of patients undergoing spinal surgeries. A quasi-experimental research was used. The study was carried out at Neurosurgery and Orthopedic inpatient and outpatient clinics of Tanta Main University Hospital. One hundred patients undergoing spinal surgeries were included in the study who were admitted to the previously mentioned settings .Patients were selected randomly. |
