Abstract latinum-based drugs have revolutionized treatment of solid tumors of organs such as ovarian, head and neck, lung, brain, and testis. This compound stops mitosis and induces apoptosis. Cisplatin (CP) is thought to kill cancer cells primarily by forming DNA adduct, causing G2 cell cycle arrest, and finally triggering apoptosis. Some of the most important side effects of cisplatin are nephrotoxicity, hepatotoxicity, ototoxicity, neurotoxicity, cardiotoxicity, and tesiculartoxicity. Gum Arabic (GA) is produced from dried exudates of Acacia senegal and Acacia seyal and is rich in high molecular weight heterogeneous gum polysaccharides and contains calcium and magnesium. It is widely used as a vehicle for pharmacological experiments and is assumed innocuous and has antioxidants and other beneficial activities in specific contexts. This study aimed to declare the naughty impact of CP on testes and liver tissues of male albino rats. Also, to illustrate the meliorative effects of GA on liver and testes tissues. So, biochemical, histological, ultrasturcturl and immunohistochemical investigations were carried out. Forty male albino Sprague Dawley rats (Rattus norvegicus) weighing rats (135-140g) and of 9-10 weeks of age were used as expirmental animals. The rats were randomly and equally divided into four groups (10 rats each): Control group (G1): included normal animals that did not receive any treatment during the experimental period. Gum Arabic group (G2): included animals that orally received an aqueous solution of freshly prepared GA; (7.5mg GA/kg rat BW/day) using a stomach tube for four weeks |
