Abstract Nurses work in a high-risk and stressful work environment and face traumatic events that affect, in addition to increased workload, shortage of nurses and lack of resources. Perceived organizational support is perception of nurses that they will get support from their hospital when they need. Therefore, healthcare organization must ensure that the support is available at appropriate levels, in order to help nurses to meet the various challenges that exist in their work environment. The inadequate level of organizational support provided can lead to workplace deviance behavior, which is a fundamental and costly problem for hospitals. |
