The topic of nutrition continues to occupy the minds of not only researchers and specialists, but it extends to include very large segments of all segments of society because this topic is directly related to their health and fitness and, of course, their bodies, which have become enlarged and oily, and the main concern now on television channels in health programs in general, and especially for those looking for beauty, is a large part of their time. Because of the interest of these segments in it. The advertising system also intervened with a huge amount of “Gunk Foods” such as chips, potatoes, pizza, hamburgers... etc. to cover the needs of these hungry human herds. The food system for athletes did not escape this rush of supplements, nutritional vitamins, and strengthening amphetamines, especially for bodybuilders and muscle builders, and all kinds of stimulants with their deadly effects came into play.
It fell into the hands of those working in this field after the confusion regarding this particular issue became mixed up after the demand of young people from all groups for it increased and the working capital in this field swelled to become in the billions, and no one cares what happens next. “And every human being and ability as long as it is This is their desire.”
Because this sport, like all other sports, is multi-race and multi-performance, and each of them deals with different muscle groups, and here lies the nature of the energy supply. Breaststroke is different from crawling on the stomach, and different from butterfly and backstroke.
The difference here is also between races, very short, medium and long distances, and relays. The nature of energy here is subject to aerobic systems sometimes and anaerobic systems at other times, and the supply of energy here is not always the deciding factor in the nature of its consumption... whether fast or slow... long or short. The energy required for a 1000-meter swim, distributed over a greater time, is different from the energy of relays in the water. And short distances.
Here, we see that feeding athletes in swimming requires specialists, on the one hand, and extensive knowledge of the nature of the food that swimmers eat, not only during competitions, but also in the distribution of the training season, whether that is in a transitional, preparatory, or competition period.
The appearance of fatigue is linked, firstly, to the safety and health of the swimmer and the nature of his lifestyle, whether in sleep, rest, the nature of his work, etc., all of which affect him and the appearance of fatigue in him.
Since food is the food that living organisms eat daily to restore or renew their energy with the aim of continuing their survival and maintaining their lives. Proper nutrition also helps the body build immunity against many diseases.
Nutritional balance also helps one feel energetic and active in daily life, not to mention the effect of food on mental health and preventing feelings of frustration and depression.
Given that healthy, integrated food is what gives energy, hence the idea of creating an integrated nutrition program that aims to improve the performance and digital level of swimmers by raising body efficiency and energy levels among swimmers and knowing the extent of the impact of this program on swimmers of different types, specializations, and distances participating in them. On scientific foundations that keep pace with the tremendous development in the field of nutrition with the aim of improving the health and physical level of swimmers to complete the three sides of the triangle, which are
(Water training - land training - nutrition for swimmers).
Muhammad Muhammad al-Hamahmy (2000) also points out that opinions differ about determining the daily needs of fat in food because this is related to many variables such as body weight, age, gender, type of work, activity, health status, and eating habits. However, there is a tendency for the daily needs of fat to range from (20%-25%) of the total calories that an individual consumes daily. In general, it is recommended that fat on average not exceed approximately (30%) of the daily needs of total energy.
Mohamed Mohamed Al-Hamamy: Healthy Nutrition for Life and Sports, Al-Kitab Publishing Center, Cairo, 2000
Sports training, sleep, and organizing meal times during the day and not leaving them until you feel hungry are considered necessary to gain the appropriate weight. Stomach exercises and weight training are suitable for use in a program for gaining weight and increasing muscle size, as well as running and swimming. In addition, it increases the amount of protein in the muscles, as it leads to gaining strength. Muscle muscles and thus contributes to gaining a full and slender figure.

Research problem:-
Through his work as a swimmers’ nutritionist, the researcher noticed that there were deficiencies in the physical performance of short-distance swimmers due to the malnutrition that befell them, especially in the age groups of young people (10-15 years), which was very low, while a great effort was made in water training and land training. The competition period after conducting a comprehensive survey using scientific equipment for the proportions of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, etc., which is what the swimmer needs for the energy necessary for physical performance. Given the importance of this, the researcher found that it is necessary to examine the dimensions of the problem in order to find a solution in order to improve the physical performance of the swimmers.
research importance
Scientific importance
1- Identify the effect of the nutritional program on some physiological and physical variables
Practical importance
1- Providing swimmers with the necessary energy by knowing the specialized distances for each swimmer, proper nutrition, and mental health.
2- The necessary measurements include periodic health tests, weekly, monthly, or yearly.
3- Create a special file for each swimmer or athlete to know the strengths and weaknesses of performance in order to improve health and physical performance and know the swimmer’s condition and serve as a reference for the club to prepare the swimmer on the level of healthy nutrition for swimmers.
4- Dividing swimmers into physical levels to improve physical performance.
5- Monitoring the morphological shape of the body to improve it to suit the body types and specialization of the swimmer.
6- Create a suitable nutrition program for each swimmer according to the variables
