Abstract

The present investigation carried out in 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 seasons at the Research Experiment station of faculty of agriculture, university of Alexandria to study the effect of three factors on wheat: A-Wheat cultivars:
1- Misr-1
2- Gemiza 10
3- Gemiza 12
B- Planting dates:
1- 15th Nov.
2- 30th Nov.
3- 15th Dec.
C- Nitrogen fertilization:
1- 30 kg/fed.
2- 60 kg/fed.
3- 90 kg/fed.
The performed Experiment was designed as split–split plot arrangement of treatments with three replications. Wheat cultivars were assigned to the main plot, planting dates were distributed randomly in the subplots and nitrogen fertilization were located in the sub –sub plots. Studied attributes
1- Biological Yield (t/ha).
2- Grain Yield (t/ha).
3- Harvest Index (%)
4- Number of Spikes per Square Meter (m2)
5- Number of Grains per Spike (g)
6- Spike Weight (g)
7- Spike Length (c.m)
8- Plant Height (c.m)Summary, Conclusions and Recommendation 33
9- Heading Date (day).
10- Flag Leaf Area (c.m).
The data were statistically analyzed and results for the studied traits could be summarized as follows:
I- Grain Yield and Related Traits:
1- Biological yield (t/ha)
- Biological yield was highly significantly differed among cultivars in both season 2014/2015. and2015/2016 seasons,. Misr1yield17.16 t/ha and had the highest biological yield than -Gemiza12 and Gemiza10 in first season. However in the second season cultivar Gemiza12had higher Biological yield (19.13 t/ha) and surpassed other cultivars.
- Means of biological yield showed that planting dates of (15th Dec) gave significantly higher yields as (20.25 – 16.76 t/ha) in the two seasons of this study, respectively.
- Nitrogen rates had a significant effect on this trait in both seasons, where the highest biological yield (17.42 t/ha and 19.94 t/ha) were obtained when nitrogen was applied at a rate of 90 Kg N/ fed. in the first and second seasons, respectively.
- The interaction between cultivars and planting dates was significant in the second season.
