The research deals with the phenomenon of substitution in the Syriac language under the title ”The substitution in Syriac in the light of modern phonetic studies, Transposition pushes the transmission in the pronunciation or its coordination and harmony. This research seeks to study the substitution in the Syriac language in the light of modern phonetic studies through the descriptive analytical approach. The research is divided into two chapters as follows: phontics, which has three basic elements: acoustic(physical) phonetics, auditory phonetics, and physiological phonetics, movements, pseudo- movements, vocalization, whispering, detonation, and friction, amplification and inflection. The stress syllables, the second chapter: vocal changes through phonemic laws, and it consists of two chapters, the first chapter: phonemic changes in consonants, including the law of similarity, progressive similarity, retrograde similarity, the law of discord, and spatial inversion. Vowels, inverting ya, inverting alif waw, inverting waw alif, the law of dissonance in sounds of qualitative dissonance between vowels.
