Abstract In recent decades, construction materials have adversely impacted the environment, causing various environmental issues such as climate change and a steady increase in carbon emissions. The construction sector is one of the major producers of carbon emissions by 37% (Construction, 2021). Consequently, it was necessary to adopt sustainable thought by applying the latest green technologies, such as nanotechnology, to achieve multi-level sustainability goals. Nanotechnology has gained rapid traction in the scientific community over the last six decades; it has been classified as a green technology. Hence, this study focuses mainly on highlighting the potential of harnessing nanomaterials in the construction sector through the adopted methodology. |
