The study aims to present and study the documents in the Housing and Development Bank: an evaluation study on the Minya branch. All work institutions, especially financial institutions and banks, seek to create policies and mechanisms to raise their organizational performance. The importance of the study stems from the importance of electronic archiving itself, as it helps in e-government directives and the transition to paperless community services. As a result of the accumulation of papers and files in the bank, the need to think about transformation The digital documents of the bank by introducing the electronic archiving system on all its transactions to facilitate the search, retrieval and preservation process.
The study deals with the identification of the reality of managing and archiving the traditional and electronic documents and archiving of the Housing and Development Bank, the role of the system in providing information services and beneficiaries, and identifying the documentary cycle of transactions that take place within it, with a presentation of the types of documents in the bank, and then studying, analyzing and describing the system to find out its pros and cons with mentioning some proposals to overcome these problems.
The study concluded that the Housing and Development Bank introduced and implemented the electronic archiving system project, and the bank’s archived documents and files are dealt with in the sectors by scientific preservation methods. It can be judged by the success or failure of the system now, although its clear and positive impact is on providing services to customers in the fastest time and with the least effort, and this appears clearly on customer satisfaction and the extent of their acceptance in many banking transactions.
One of the most important recommendations of the study is that the bank’s electronic document management system for banking services, Temenos T24, works to develop the bank’s services and provide all that is new from the services.
