Abstract
In the current study, two main objectives were studied and investigated. The first objective is focused on studying effect of the opening size, location and shape on the punching shear behavior of two-way RC flat slab. The second objective is focused on studying effect of the strengthening around the openings located adjacent to or close to the supporting columns of RC flat slabs using strain hardening cementitious composites (SHCC). This research consists of six chapters as follows: Chapter (1) presents the problem statement, methodology, objectives and the scope of the work in the current thesis.
