Abstract

This study investigated the possible beneficial role of the bee venom (BV, Apis mellifera L.) against zinc oxide nanopar¬ticles (ZNPs)-induced neurobehavioral and neurotoxic impacts in rats. To do this, fifty male Sprague Dawley rats were weighed and alienated into five groups, each comprising 10 rats. The first group (C 28D) was intraperitoneally injected with 1 mL distilled water /rat for 28 days. The 2nd group (C 56D) was intraperitone¬ally injected with 1 mL distilled water /rat for 56 days. The third group (ZNPs) was intraperitoneally injected ZNPs (100 mg/kg.wt) for 28 days. The 4th group (ZNPs+BV) was intraperi¬toneally injected ZNPs (100 mg/kg.wt) and BV (1 mg/ kg.bwt) for 28 days. The 5th group (ZNP/BV) was intraper¬itoneally injected with ZNPs for 28 days, then BV for another 28 days at earlier doses and duration.
