Introduction to the research
The individual’s sense of psychological stability encourages him to know himself, as he can only reach his self-knowledge after satisfying his needs, as feelings and emotions in the youth stage may be burning, and unstable as a result of not satisfying the needs in the required form, which leads them to psychological and behavioral disorders, and has Its persistence leads to exposure to psychological diseases, the symptoms of which appear later
Research problem
The psychological stability of Plato is achieved through a balance between the forces of the inner soul, as the stability of the soul and its contentment depend on the rational soul’s success in achieving a balance between the demands of the stupid soul and the lustful demands of the soul.
The researcher noted through his experience that there are many swimmers who lack psychological stability, and this is evident through their daily behavior, practices, and weak relationships and performance. This was a justification and motivation for the researcher to conduct such a study in an attempt to identify the level of psychological stability among swimmers who will be the leaders of tomorrow in educational and social institutions.
Research objective:
The research aims to identify the relationship between the instructor’s psychological stability and the internal motivation of swimmers
Search questions:
1- What are the levels of psychological stability for swimmers?
2- What are the levels of dimensions of the internal motivation for swimmers?
3- Is there a correlation between psychological stability and internal motivation for swimmers?
Research plan and procedures
Research Methodology :
The researcher used the descriptive approach ”survey method” as it is the appropriate approach to the nature of this research.
research community :
The research community was represented by coaches and swimmers under the age of 17, and participants in the Winter Swimming Championship 2018-2019 season, registered with the Egyptian Swimming Federation, and coaches for the same clubs
The research sample
The researcher selected the research sample from (70) coaches and short-distance swimmers for the age group under 17 years (160), and the participants in the Winter Swimming Championship 2018/2019 season, who are registered with the Egyptian Swimming Federation
Data collection tools:
The researcher used to collect data the following metrics:
- A measure of the psychological stability of the coach
- The internal motivation measure for swimmers
Search steps:
Survey study:
The first survey:
The researcher applied the first exploratory study to Al-Ahly, Heliopolis and Al-Shams clubs, which consist of (30) swimmers, (30) trainers from outside the main sample and distributors. The study aimed to:
Ensure clarity and understanding of the standards metrics.
Clarify the way to answer the metrics phrases.
The second survey:
The researcher applied the second exploratory study to Al-Ahly, Heliopolis and Al-Shams clubs on the same sample as the first exploratory study, and two weeks after the first application, with the aim of calculating the scientific transactions of the two scales
Basic study
The researcher applied the basic survey study after calculating the scientific transactions, the psychological stability measure of the coach, and the internal motivation scale for swimmers, on a deliberate sample and its strength.
(160) A swimmer, (70) and a trainer, with the aim of learning about the relationships between them.
Conclusions:
In light of the research objectives and hypotheses, the researcher reached the following conclusions:
• The highest relative importance came in the order of the axes of the psychological stability scale according to the responses of the research sample after the presence of the individual with relative importance (88.89%), followed by the presence surrounding the individual with relative importance (77.77%), followed by the presence of the participant in the world with relative importance (66.67%).
• The highest relative importance came in arranging the dimensions of the internal motivation for achievement for swimmers according to the responses of the research sample after desire and enjoying relative importance (86.66%), followed by
• There are statistically significant differences between the first dimension of the measure of internal motivation for achievement for swimmers (desire and enjoyment) and all dimensions of the psychological stability scale of the coach and the scale as a whole, which indicates the presence of a parity above average.
• There are also statistically significant differences between the second dimension of internal motivation for achievement for swimmers (sense of competence) and all dimensions of the psychological stability scale of the coach and the scale as a whole, which indicates an above average association.
• There are also statistically significant differences between the third dimension of internal motivation for achievement for swimmers (the importance of effort) and all dimensions of the measure of psychological stability of the coach and the scale as a whole, which indicates the presence of a parity link below the average.
• There are also statistically significant differences between the fourth dimension of the internal motivation for achievement for swimmers (tension and stress) and all dimensions of the psychological stability scale of the coach and the scale as a whole, which indicates the presence of an inverse correlation above the average.
• There are also statistically significant differences between the measure of internal motivation for achievement for swimmers and all dimensions of the psychological stability scale for the coach and the scale as a whole, which indicates a strong direct correlation
Recommendations:
from the foregoing and in light of the researcher’s findings of the researcher recommends the following:
• The need to pay attention to the psychological aspect of swimmers, especially the degree of internal motivation associated with sports experience, because of its great impact on the swimmer’s behavior in terms of commitment or interruption of participation.
• The researcher suggests using the coach’s psychological stability scale and internal motivation for swimmers in other sporting environments such as national teams.
• The need to understand how coaches use motivation and to raise the learning environment in swimming.
• In the event that there is a strong internal motivation to perform the duties of the swimmer, the coach should resist his own tendencies in imposing and proposing other additional goals that may be a burden on the swimmer, which leads to a decrease in his performance and affects him negatively.
• Study the relationship between psychological stability and other psychological variables such as self-esteem - self-confidence - personality traits - self-concept - aggression.
