Abstract

This thesis is entitled ”Vegetables in Ancient Egypt”, and it considers the research and study of vegetables in ancient Egypt and their connection as a staple food for the ancient Egyptians.
The study also deals with the presentation of the ancient Egyptian menu and the most important basic vegetables it contains, in addition to an explanation of the Egyptian cuisine and the use of vegetables and herbs in medicine.
The Methodology of the research: The thesis aims to shed light on the most important vegetables that were known in ancient Egypt, knowing and clarifying the role of vegetables in the life of the ancient Egyptians in food and identifying the most important uses of vegetables in offerings, medicine, and the ancient Egyptian religion.
