Abstract

This observational study involved 20 patients 6 males and 14 females. all are pathologically confirmed with malignancies , clinical history was taken from patients non-contrast & contrast CT chest was performed for all case.
Multi slice CT played a vital role in the early identification of malignant patients with COVID-19 pneumonia. The assessment of the CT severity score of COVID-19 is essential for the extent of pneumonia involvement to help clinicians achieve the purpose of early diagnosis and accurate treatment.
The most of patients were presenting asymptomatic.
The incidental finding of COVID-19 are ground-glass densities and peripheral adhesions were the most typical CT findings. Prominent interlobular septations; also vascular dilatation, consolidation, Significant mediastinal or hilar lymph node enlargement, fibrotic streaks, atelectatic bands are also CT findings. Pleural effusion was least CT finding presented in our study.
According to disease distribution both right and left lower lobes were most affected while other lobes affected less.
COVID-19–associated pneumonia may be detected as an incidental finding in asymptomatic patients undergoing CT scan examinations for oncologic indications in regions with a high COVID-19 prevalence. Thereby, the incidental detection of COVID-19 pneumonia in early stages may help prevent further spread of the virus.
