Abstract This study aims to Improving the quality of superphosphate fertilizer resulting from the use of low quality phosphate rock so phosphate 22% was selected as a sample of study. After collecting the sample from Abu Tarture (New Valley Governorate).and grinding it, samples on study, were prepared without additives by mixing the determined weight by sulfuric acid (acidulation) and then with chosed additive by mixing the additive firstly with the grounded phosphate with certainratio and before acidulation. Potassium was choosen as an additive because of its highly importance for the soil and plants even in its synthesized form as potassium sulfate or in its natural form as Illite clay. Firstly super phosphate is in normal prepared by mixing 100g grinded phosphate with 80g of sulfuric acid 71.17% (56 pumea) and this process is called acidulation then after stirring and completely mixing letting the sample to dry. In case of potassium sulfate as an additive, samples were prepared by taking small amounts of solid potassium sulfate (1-5g) and completely dissolve it firstly in the sulfuric acid 71.17% (56 pumea) before starting the acidulation step then mixing with the amount of phosphate (100g). In case of Illite clay as an additive, after collecting Illite clay from Abu Tartour mine and grinding it (as well as phosphate rock),thin mixing with weighted phosphate as a ratio by adding calculated weight of Illite clay to the phosphate sample where the total weight after mixing is 100g then adding the sulfuric acid ex.(60g phosphate |
