Abstract

New bioactive naturaly secondery metabolite can be explored by studying the marine-drived Actinomycetes. Such products can commonly be found in the genus Streptomyces. Throughout the current work, three identified marine-drived Actinomycetes strains were isolated from the western harbor of alexandria and identified as Streptomyces albidoflavus strain EgyAB2 with the Accession no.# ON680945 , Streptomyces chumphonensis strain EgyAB3 with accession no. ON652368 and Streptomyces xinghaiensis strain EgyAB6 with an Accession no.# OQ306267 using the 16S rRNA gene sequence. The ethyl acetate extracts showed a high anti-cancer activity using the RPD, the SRB and the MTT bioassays against the most dagerous cancers; colorectal, hepato-carcinoma and breast cancerous cell lines with high safety profile against the normal cell line.
