Abstract

The agricultural residues represent critical from an issue environmental and economic perspective and hence utilization of these by-product i.e., pomegranate leaves, Moringa leaves and olive leaves could lead to high value-added products these plants are often cheaper, locally, available and easily consumable as simple medical and feeding preparation.
In this study leaves of olive, Moringa and pomegranate were mechanically pressed to obtain the crude juice the result and crude juice were subject for the determination of gross chemical composition estimation of certain phytochemical i.e., total phenols, flavonoids, tannis and anthocyanins by HPLC.
The assessment of their antioxidant activities was performed by two method (Dpph- Rancimat method) and the antibacterial in some bacteria (listeria spp –bacillus subtitles –staphylococcus aureus and their anti insectidal effect on red spider insect
The Result can be summarized as follows:
1-the phytochemical screening indicate that Moringa leaves crude juice contained high amount of polyphenols, flavonoids, alkaloids triterpines than olive leaves and pomegranate leaves.
2-the gross chemical composition indicate that crude juice of Moringa leaves, olive leaves and pomegranate leaves contain the same amount of crude carbohydrates, protein, glycosides and steroids.
3-the crude juice of Moringa leaves contain the heights total poly phenol than olive leaves and pomegranate leaves.
4-Hplc was used to characterized and quantify the poly phenolic and flavonoids compounds in olive leaves and pomegranate leaves and Moringa leaves crude juice. and the results were as follows
(8 phenolic acids compounds and 4 phenol) (catechin, p-Hydroxy benzoic acid, Vanilin, p-Coumaric acid, Gallic acid, Caffeic acid, Tyrosol, Ferulic acid, Hydroxy tyrosol, Tannic acid, Ellagic acid and Syringic acid).
The fractionation of Flavonoids by HPLC analysis and found 14 compounds (APig.6-arabinose 8-glucose, APig.6-rhamnose 8-glucose, Rutin, Narengin, Luteo-7-glucose, Hesperidine, Rosmarinin, Quercetrin, Apigenin-7-glucose, Quercetin, Narengenin, Kamp-3, (2-p-comaroyl) glucose, Kaempferol and Apigenin)
- The result demonstrated that Moringa leaves crude juice contain the heights amount from (catechin, p-Hydroxy benzoic acid, Vallin, and Gallic acid) than olive leaves and pomegranate leave crude juice.
- pomegranate leaves crude juice contain the heights amount from (Caffeic acid and Tannic acid) than olive leaves and Moringa leaves crude juice.
- olive leaves crude juice contains the heights amount from (Tyrosol, Hydroxy tyrosol and Ellagic acid) than Moringa leaves and pomegranate leaves crude juice.
- Moringa leaves crude juice contain the heights amount of flavonoids than olive leaves and pomegranate leaves crude juice i.e., Hesperidine, Narengenin, Kaempferol and Apigenin).
- pomegranate leaves crude juice. Contain (Quercetrin) than Moringa leaves and olive leaves crude juice.
5- the antioxidant effect in Moringa leaves crude juice high than olive leaves and pomegranate leaves by DPPH-Rancimat method.
6- the anti-insect effect In vitro and In vivo experiment in the red spider in moringa leaves is high than pomegranate and olive leaves
7-the antimicrobial effect in Bacillus subtitles > Listeria spp > Staphylococcus aureus is high in olive leaves crude juice than Moringa and pomegranate leaves.
The finding of the current study proposes that Moringa leaves and pomegranate leaves and olive leaves is a valuable source of health –promoting compounds fulfilling at the same time promising antioxidant, antimicrobial and anti-insectidal.
