Abstract

Abstract
Back ground: Communication climate is an element in the process of communication and refers to the atmosphere or prevailing condition in which communication takes place. Organizational career growth refers to the activities provided by organizations to support their employees’ career success. Organizational career growth has positive influence on employee communication and when management promotes career opportunities programs, they will greatly increase the communication level of the workforce. Aim of this study: This study aimed to explore the relation between of communication climate and organizational career growth. Design: A descriptive correlational research design was utilized in the study. Setting: The study was conducted at Abbassia Mental Health Hospital. Subjects: A convenient sample of 95 nurse managers in pre-mentioned setting was enrolled in the study. Tools: two tools were used; Communication climate questionnaire, Organizational career growth scale. Results: The study findings revealed that (73.6%) of studied nurse managers had positive level regarding communication climate, while, (60.0%) of studied nurse managers had high level regarding organizational career growth. Conclusion: This study concluded that there was a high statistically significant positive correlation between communication climate and organizational career growth at P value 0.01. Recommendations: It’s recommended that hospital management provide communication climate that enables free expression of ideas and exchange of opinions among staff for effective organizational performance.
