Abstract

The interface of green chemistry and nanotechnology presents an exciting horizon for synthesizing green and clean multifunctional metal oxide nanoparticles. Nanotechnology especially transition metal oxide nanoparticles have been a rapidly growing area of research because of its versatile applications in the fields of biomedicine, cosmetics, bioremediation, diagnostics and materials engineering. The chemical, physical, electronic and optical properties of nanomaterials are governed by their shape, size and surface morphology.
