Abstract Building Licenses Code is a challenging task in building design, which needs to be monitored and maintained throughout the design and construction process. Existing BIM software tools can‘t explicitly rationalize how the selected building component or system affects the overall project with respect to building codes and regulations. This makes it difficult for the designer to determine when and how to adjust the design object, In case of design changes so that the overall project complies with the building codes. Building codes are manually reviewed in nations like Egypt throughout the design and legal-drawings verification phases. For designers and those who work in regulatory bodies, this is a critical responsibility. The manual inspection method, on the other hand, invariably results in ambiguity, inconsistency in evaluations, and overall delays in the building process. Automated compliance checking methods for building regulations are becoming possible because to the advancement of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology. It is seen to be one of the technologies with the most potential to benefit the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) business. Rule interpretation is a key issue for a good code-checking solution, and it is important to organize and make the rules flexible |
