Abstract Nowadays, there is a growing trend toward manufacturing and utilization of nanoparticles due to their unique and desirable physical and electrochemical characteristics. The versatility of copper-based nanoparticles has led to their employment in a variety of industrial, chemical, electrical, and medical applications; that mainly used in the production of gas sensors, semiconductors, thin films for solar cells, catalysts, ceramic pigments, and biocides for agriculture. Copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO NPs) have developed as a significant class of nanomaterials with potential dangers to organisms and the environment. Due to their widespread in our daily life, their effect on us and other organisms should be considered. Costus (Saussurea lappa) is an aromatic perennial plant that is widely used and has been reported to possess potent therapeutic and antioxidant properties; has anti hepatotoxic, anti diabetic, antifungal, anthelmintic, anti-tumour, anti-inflammatory, anti-ulcer, antimicrobial, and immunostimulant effects. |
