المستخلص Traditionally all penetrating abdominal stabs have been managed by exploratory laparotomy. Several publications commented that negative laparotomies varied from 9 to 61%, and postopera ve morbidity ranges from 3-16 % . So, our study aims that penetrating abdominal stabs could be managed safely by the use of selective investigative management protocols, using abdominal CT (computed tomography) and diagnostic laparoscopy, thus minimizing the rate of negative laparotomies and not subjecting trauma victims to the risk of missing any injury |
