The aim of the study is the theoretical and practical study of the economic vocabulary in German and Arabic, in order to present the problems of the German and Arabic in coining new terms. As an introduction to the topic the basic terms which are relevant to the topic, like ”term and meaning” were explained. The possibilities of coining terms have been shown theoretically for the German and Arabic. To show the similarities and differences, the coining methods in German and Arabic were presented in the form of a comparison. As a second step, both the linguistic possibilities to create new terms as well as the deficiencies or those problems have been shown which hinder the formation of precise and clear terms. In this context, the terms in the corpus (the four-lingual Business Dictionary, 2002) were analyzed in order to assess to what extent the coining methods in German and Arabic have similarities or differences. In this context, the rate of occurrence of different methods has been worked out
