Abstract This Thesis focuses on developing a new open-loop CMOS high-efficiency wideband envelope amplifier for envelope tracking power amplifier for mobile LTE applications. It is based on an open loop switching Buck regulator. The switching signal for the Buck is generated using digital unit that is responsible for calculating the switching frequency duty cycle instantaneously according to the value of the input envelope of the RF transmitted signal. The envelope amplifier is designed in a 65 nm CMOS technology. Its performance is simulated over a range of frequencies which are 5MHz, 10MHz, 15MHz, and 20MHz |
