Abstract

20 patients with late endovascular failure were enrolled in the study of feasibility of endovascular re - intervention in Kasr Al Aini hospital in period August 2013 and May 2014. 12 had SFA re - stenosis or re - occlusion (60%) 3 had SFA in stent re - stenosis(15%). 3 had recurrent infra - popliteal stenosis or occlusion(15%). 2 patients had EIA re - stenosis (10%). Stenting was done in 11 patients (55%) with100% technical success. Angioplasty was done in 9 patients (45%) with 90% technical success. Patency rate after 6 months was 94%. Limb salvage was 90%. Balloon angioplasty and bare metal stents are good tools for endovascular re - intervention. In our study, we studied the feasibility, success and midterm patency of endovascular re - intervention after late endovascular failure. Twenty patients in one group were enrolled, investigated and endovascular procedures were done for. The technical success and midterm patency led us to conclude that endovascular re - intervention is safe, feasible with good midterm patency rate
