Abstract

This thesis deals with the preparation of different ratios of NBR / IIR ( Butadiene Acrylonitrile / Butyl ) rubber blends as: {(25/75), (50/50), (75/25)}. Each previous ratio loaded with different ratios of [N326 (HAF-LS) / N774 (SRF-HS)] carbon black fillers as: {(0/100), (25/75), (50/50), (75/25), and (100/0)}. Our goal in this work is to show the effect of adding fillers of different particle sizes on the electrical and thermal properties, in addition to the thermal effects due to Joule heating of these conductive blends. In this work we have investigated the I-V characteristics, electric heating behavior and temperature dependence of electrical conductivity for all prepared blends
