Abstract Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the color difference between try-in paste, uncured and cured resin cement using two cement shades on the final color of ceramic laminate veneer. Materials and methods: 15 ceramic veneers discs of shade A1 and 1mm thick were applied to 2mm composite resin discs using two shades of resin cement and their try-in paste produced by the same manufacturer. Assessment of color difference values (xE) was made. Results: There were no statistically significant difference between the try-in paste, uncured and cured resin cement of the same shade using the laboratory spectrophotometer (P {u2264} 0.05). However, using the easyshade, there were statistically significant difference between the try-in paste and the cured resin cement of the same shade.. Conclusions: Clinically no significant differences were found between the try-in paste and the corresponding cured resin cement of the same shade using thelaboratory spectrophotometer. However, clinically significant differences were found using the easyshade |
